Happy Fall Break!!! Students will not have school October October 3rd - October 12th. Monday October 12th is set aside as a parent conference day. Each teacher has set up a Sign Up Genius for you to sign up for a conference. If you have not signed up, we encourage you to do so. This is a great time to check in with the teacher and share any concerns you have. Please contact your teacher for the links to sign up. We hope you have a wonderful Fall Break and we look forward to seeing the students on October 13th!

As we gear up for the Red, White and Blue Color Run on October 17th we are looking for vendors to make this day complete! We are offering FREE vendor spots to everyone. We just ask for a $25-$50 prize donation for our raffle. If you have a small business or food truck and you would like to have a spot, please fill out this form. Our Houses are more than just fun and bright colors! Students are working hard each day to earn points to WIN money for their chosen non-profit organization. The first winner will be announced tomorrow!

It's time for our Annual Color Run Fundraiser! As our largest and most important fundraiser of the year, it directly shapes our school's future—and it’s a fantastic, fun community event you won't want to miss! Mark your calendars for October 17th at 8:00 AM. Who doesn't want to get covered in red, white, and blue powder to celebrate America's 250th anniversary?

Last year, thanks to your generosity, we raised over $125,000 to support classroom materials and campus improvements. We are about to break ground on the playground upgrades funded by last year's run, but we have set a goal to raise even more this year to expand the project. Our current plans include:

Kindergarten & 1st Grade Expansion: Extending the play area to provide more grassy space for students.

All-Weather Access: Adding concrete pads and walkways on the primary playground to allow safe access even after heavy rain.

Facility Upgrades: Enhancing the Gaga ball pit, adding dedicated four-square pads, and creating a designated soccer field.

Long-Term Vision: Upgrading the track area to accommodate more students.

Beyond campus upgrades, these funds directly support our classrooms by purchasing engaging educational materials tailored to various learning styles, as well as providing student and teacher incentives.

Your support makes all of this possible. Over the last seven years, Benton Elementary has earned an "A" rating and achieved Leader in Me Lighthouse School status. With your partnership, we are building the next generation of leaders and ensuring our campus is a place students look forward to coming to every single day. Any contribution helps us build on this success!

Reminder- Monday at 5:30 pm is Lighthouse Academy for grades 1-4. This is a very important night for parents and guardians to receive educational information! The grade level that has the highest percentage of parent attendance will get a popsicle party!

We will be holding open sub interviews on Friday, September 11th from 12:30 - 2:00. If you are someone you know is interestested in becoming a substitute at Benton Elementary this is a great opportunity to get signed up!

Let's Paint the State Gold on Wednesday, September 9th to raise awareness of childhood cancer! Students are encouraged to wear gold or yellow with uniform bottoms.
