Win the Day the Tiger Way!
We had the BESt first day ever! All of the students looked wonderful in the back to school outfits and the day couldn't have gone any better. Just a few reminders for the upcoming days. Our bell times have changed! First bell rings at 8:20 and the tardy bell rings at 8:25. We do not start dismissing until 3:25. Since every bus driver has a new route this year and they need to do a roll call for the first week, buses will run later than normal. Please make sure that you have the BLUE carline tag for afternoon pickup. We appreciate your patience. As always, if you have questions for concerns, please call the front office. See you tomorrow!

Please make sure your child's teacher knows how they will be getting home tomorrow, including the bus number.
Car line will open at 7:55. Please have students seated on the passenger side of the car and ready to jump out when your car starts. Kindergarten and 1st grade students must be dropped off in the inside lane.
Lunch and Breakfast are FREE for all Benton Elementary Students!
If you are planning to pick your student up in car line and you do not have a car line tag you must get one from the office before going through car line.

Sunday, August 2nd is Meet the Teacher for grades 1-4. Please see the attached graphic for all the details!!!
Teacher assignments for Kindergarten will also be visible on Saturday, though please keep in mind that these placements are subject to change until August 11th.

The first day of school is only ONE month away and we know you are getting excited to purchase supplies and uniforms. Please make sure you read the BES Handbook for all of your back to school questions!! Special note on shoes - NO Crocs or Clog style shoes are permitted. If you have questions about uniforms, please email kim.hawkins@bossierschools.org. I don't always see every comment on Facebook and so it's easier if you email me.

Yearbooks have arrived!!! Books can be picked up from the office during the following times:
Tuesday 8:00- 10:00 am
Saturday 8:00 - 10:00 am
If those days and times do not work for you, the office will be open starting on July 21st from 8:00 - 3:00 daily.
We will have a few extra books but will not begin selling those until late July. Thank you so much for your patience!
Just a quick heads-up for our Bossier families as we head into the holiday week! 🎆
Please remember that there will be NO Summer Meal Box distributions on Tuesday, June 30.
We will see you right back here to resume regular distributions on Tuesday, July 7!

Due to the severity of the weather and employee safety, today's summer meal box distribution is being pushed back an hour. Meals will be available for pickup at all four sites from 8 a.m. to noon. We appreciate your understanding.

Hey Tiger Families! We hope you are having the best summer ever. We wanted to let you know that this Friday, June 21st will be the last day place an order for the first round of the Tiger Corner Store! What does that mean? Anything that is ordered by June 21st will be at the school for the back to school day in August. If you order from the store in July, those items will not be delivered until after Labor Day. So if you want your items for the first month of school you must order by FRIDAY!! Here is the link:

If you will be picking up meals today as part of the curbside summer feeding program, please be aware the delivery trucks are running late and pickups will be delayed until approximately 8 a.m. This affects all sites, with the exception of Parkway, which will open at the normal time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We currently have 297 library books still out, and they are now officially OVERDUE. At this point, some of these books have been gone so long they may have started paying rent somewhere else.
Please check backpacks, bedrooms, cars, under couches, behind TVs, and inside mysterious kitchen drawers where random things disappear forever.
Our library books miss their friends and would love to come home. ❤️📖
Thank you for helping us round up the runaway books!
We currently have 297 library books still out, and they are now officially OVERDUE. At this point, some of these books have been gone so long they may have started paying rent somewhere else.
