
CMS held our annual 🐝spelling bee🐝 today in the library. One representative from each grade level participated. We are so proud of the courage and commitment of these students. After several rounds of spelling words, Elise Johnson, Jordan Gaines, Ana Anaya, and Aaron Quimbaya were the final four participants. Elise Johnson, 8th grader, is our overall winner 🥇 ; and 7th grader, Jordan Gaines 🥈 is our runner up! 🐝These top 2 winners can participate in the upcoming Regional Spelling Bee at LSUS! 🐝 Way to go, Cougars!!

Our CMS Cougar basketball teams defeated BMS tigers tonight on the court! 7th grade won 44-23and our 8th grade team won 40-22! Leading our 7th grade team with baskets were S. Heard with 16pts, M. Moore with 10 pts, J. Jacobsen with 7pts, and L. Lewis with 5 pts! Our 8th grade point leaders tonight were J. Guidry with 14pts, A. Reed with 8 pts, and S. Schuler with 6pts. Our guys hustled up and down the court to get the wins! Congratulations to our players, Coach Csoma, and Coach Johnson! It was a great way to start district play!

Our CMS Archery team hit their marks at the Benton Bullseye NASP tournament this weekend. 7 CMS archers shot their PERSONAL BEST! As a team, they shot 67 tens 🎯and ended in third place overall. Congratulations! 💙🧡💙

Our CMS Math Counts Team earned second place at the Regional competition held today at LSUS! 🎉👏🏻Kudos and congratulations to our very own CMS 7th grader, Clayton Scott, for earning the #1 spot in the boy’s middle school division in the NASP North Regional archery competition on Saturday. He scored 288 total points, which is his personal best while hitting 19 tens! 🎯🎯
He along with 11 other archers earned CMS the 8th place in the tournament.
We are SO proud of our archery team!
